Republicans Block ...

At least once a week, I see an article titled: "Republicans Block..." and then whatever the Democratic legislation is that week. Listen, Repubs, I know you are still pissed you were wrong about the war, wrong about the people, corrupt as hell, and they finally kicked you out of power for it...BUT... Are you going to make the Country suffer and be held back because of it? Nevermind, I know the answer. Of COURSE you are going to make the Country pay for kicking you out of office. You will go as low as you need to go to support the "Party" and NOT the Country. The only thing I can say is for you to continue to screw the Country every chance you get because, come 2008, we will then gain the over 60 we need in the Senate AND the Presidency. All you are doing is digging your own hole as you tell the Country to F*** Off, you don't care what they think, you only care about protecting your dumb a** President.

24 - Episode 5

Counting the first two nights as two shows each, this article is about episode 5. The presidential advisor, Karen, says it best..."We can not embrace the politics of fear". One of his advisors is trying to justify internment camps, deportation for legal residents, suspension of Habeus Corpus, all because of a nuclear weapon that has went off in Los Angeles. The republicans claim the show as their own, then they damn well better embrace this aspect too. Republicans think just like the advisor who wants to suspend rights. Democrats think more like Karen Hayes. We can not EVER justify suspending the rights of the American People because if that time comes, and we do...our country as we know it is over. We will have crossed that line from Democracy to Dictatorship. Bush embraces the dictatorship strategy. It's him alone. He will ignore Congress for the next two years and continue doing whatever the hell he wants. The only good thing? Democrats will win the presidency in 2008 and this Republican era of partisanship, illegalities, and hatred to non-whites will be over.

24 - A Neocon's Dream?

Various Republicans have been claiming the show as a reality that we need to be prepared for. One that favors their side of the terrorist argument. One that substantiates everything they do. Well, if they claim the good, they damn well better claim the bad too. This season, as in previous seasons, the President goes too far. He has suspended rights in favor of so-called "protection" which obviously does not work, he has done illegal actions and was impeached/resigned as should happen, etc... If you think this show proves your false war in Iraq, then it also proves you need to be arrested and charged for destroying the Constitution of the United States of America.

On a personal note, I love the show and would love to meet Jack Bauer if I ever could, but I also understand its a fictional show that shows the worst possible scenario for many incidents. Much like The Da Vinci Code, it's a great read/watch but it is still FICTION with just some basis in truth.

I'm back

Well, I'm back. I thought I would be able to take a break with Democrats in power but as it turns out, the Republicans are STILL f***ing up the country. Bush is threatening to veto any legislation sent to him by the Democrats, he is escalating the war in Iraq by adding a war with Iran to the list. The democrats can not stop funding because they will be labeled all over the Republican news as leaving our soldiers high and dry, they can try a non-binding resolution but some Republicans are going to filibuster even THAT. We need to recall some more Republicans and IMPEACH BUSH. It is the only answer. Get his mentally retarded insane a** out and into a mental institution and get us out of Iraq and stop us from going into Iran!

My Faith Is Restored

I just wanted to say my faith in the American people is restored. We have taken the House with additional buffer seats and we took 51 seats in the Senate. Just enough to take control and not have to worry about ties and Cheney, the shotgun shooting A**hole, breaking a tie. Although two races are still not officially called for the Senate, Democrats are too far ahead and a recount will only confirm the win. My faith is restored in you America. You voted the right way and I love ya for it. In 2004, more then half of America was dumb enough to vote for Bush. Now, more then half of American has regained their brain and I Thank You.

Almost There...

Elections are just two days away. Yesterday I went to see "Man of the Year" starring Robin Williams. While the movie is funny and comical, it makes two HUGE points. The people of America are tired of the status quo. We are NOT happy right now and we NEED new leadership. Someone different. Someone who will actually DO something. The Second main point of the movie is how easily the Diebold voting machines can be hacked or messed up to begin with. While the company isnt Diebold, it is quite clear who they mean. The point is that it can happen quite easily and any "leaks" can be dealt with quite easily. This worries me greatly and I can only hope that people with conscience who see anything suspicious report it immediately. We can NOT have another election stolen from us. In 2000, Bush used his daddy's friends on the Supreme Court to stop a recount everyone knew would show Kerry to have won Florida. In 2004, Voter intimidation and broken electronic voting machines (Which just happened to be broken in poorer, democratic communities) happened in both Florida and Ohio. This year we CAN NOT LET THIS HAPPEN. We all know that if Democrats do NOT take both houses of Congress, something happened. Every poll shows Democrats leading and taking control of Congress so if it does not happen, somewhere, A Republican whorehouse is working overtime to steal the election...AGAIN.

Vote! Vote! Vote! and remember, if you see something suspicious, REPORT IT to the nearest police officer. Do not be intimidated at the polls and MAKE YOUR VOTE COUNT.

Far-Right Attacks Continue...

OK. Just Back Off....oh wait, that's what Rummy (Rumsfeld) said during a press conference regarding a timeline to withdraw from Iraq. He seems to think WE as citizens of This United States of America should not ever question the decisions made by OUR government. We don't work for them, they work for us, and if an employee told me to back off when I asked him for a timeline on a project, his ass would be fired. So here's to you Rummy...YOURE FIRED!! In two years, when Bushy can't run again, you are fired. If Bush wants to conserve any amount of decency, he should fire you NOW but he is too big on cronyism and his little circle that he would protect you if you molested a kid, much like Hastert protected Foley and Bush protected Hastert.

Then, you have the far-right assholes like Limbaugh who ACTUALLY thinks that its ok to accuse someone of going off their meds for a more powerful ad and even if he did (which he said he did not), who the hell are you, a semi-healthy fat porker to even question Michael J Fox, a man who is much more then a man and a hell of alot more a man then you will ever be Limbaugh. You're own Republicans don't like you, move on, find a new party.

And just a rant to end this rant, the far-right republicans...I am no longer calling them ultra conservatives because it implies they have conservative morals and ethics and we all know thats a bunch of bullshit. The only thing they are conservative on is our rights, and i dont mean conserving them, I mean making sure we have as little as possible whereas the "Liberals" which I am now calling Democrats or The Ethical Ones, want to make sure we KEEP THE CONSTITUTION AS IT IS and respect people's rights.

Now, wrap your heads around this one dumbasses, I am a Democrat who believes a woman should have the right to choose in cases of abortion, but I don't agree with abortion. Oh gee, is that possible? Yes if fu**ing is. If you call yourself a conservative, do NOT sit there and judge abortions but then root for the Death Penalty like its a damn sports game.

Thank you, and goodnight.

Bush: We Will Continue To Let Our Soldiers Die

Isn't that what the report says? No? Sorry, that's right, he says "We Will NOT CHANGE Strategy In Iraq" Same thing. Earlier today I read a report that stated that he was meeting with military advisors from Iraq to decide what new course to take to help protect our soldiers more. THAT lasted long as was reported later today that he will not change strategies and will continue with the strategies that have caused thousands of casualties and will continue to do so. This is NOT being patriotic, this is being ANTI-Patriotic. He clearly only cares about his oil there and being so hard-headed (not like there is anything in there anyways) that he would rather "Stay the course" that is an utter clusterfuck with thousands of deaths continuing. So, just off the top of my head, here is what he believes:

1. If you disagree with him, you are being unpatriotic and helping the terrorists. (Clearly he has never read the Constitution)
2. Stay The Course in Iran, whooops, I meant Iraq, or did I? (Clearly he can not compute mathematics and fails to realize we are LOSING)
3. If you do not support him, you do not support the troops. (He seems to forget that he NEVER served so he is not even a VETERAN of anything and no one knows where the hell he was, so how the hell does not supporting him or the war equal not supporting the troops?)
4. Our economy is advancing (Once again, lack of math skills and bad memory as he seems to forget the surplus turned deficit via him)
5. Republicans are more moral then Democrats (Unjust war, Foley, Hastert, Abramoff, etc... etc... etc...)
6. He has the right to do whatever the hell he wants (Wait, his rubber-stamp Congress let this actually happen, go figure)

And that is just off the top of my head!!

FIRE THE REPUBLICANS...IT IS TIME TO MOVE ON WITH OUR LIVES AND LEAVE THIS MESS BEHIND!!!

Religious Neoconservatives Ruining Christianity...

Now we are traversing into my experience and my specialty. I have a BA in Religious Studies from a nationally accredited University. I can say this with experience and education and confidence. FAKE Christians like Jerry Falwell, James Dobson and some others who don't even need mentioning completely and utterly ruin what it means to be a Christian. They take the true Christians and suck their money, life and souls away from God and keep them to themselves. They have no cares in the world about God, the Bible or anything even remotely religious. Their sole point of focus is keeping the Republicans in office, regardless of their misdeeds.

This quote is taken straight from the linked article, "According to Keyes, the former presidential and senatorial candidate, the two defining issues of the modern Religious Right are inseparable because they are “one and the same issue.” “Abortion does at the physical level what homosexual marriage does at the institutional level,” he explained."

This is a sick disillusioned belief that Keyes KNOWS is incorrect. He is simply using the best words and subjects he can to rally his slaves, errr, flock. I actually feel horrible that I once said that Alan Keyes would make a good president. He would be worse then Bush trying to use God as a reason to do whatever he did, much like Bush does, except being a so called Pastor, he would use God more. That's right, EXPLOITATION of God. Would God have really approved of an unjust war that has killed thousands? NO. If you have read my blog before, you notice I use the term Unjust War. Thomas Aquinas arrived at a theory titled the "Just War" theory. A war can only be just under certain circumstances and the war in Iraq did not and does not meet them.

So, my words of wisdom to you so-called Christians. If you are going to claim God for these arguments, claim him for ALL of them, not just certain preferred arguments.

"We will look back on this day as a stain on our nation's history."

Democratic Sen. Russ Feingold said that, and boy is he right!

I am not going to say much about this as I have written on the lack of citizen rights repeatedly and have no need to reiterate the whole situation. We all know Bush and his Republicans (or Republicans and their Bush) are all about removing our rights but once again they try to change the subject with it. The headline should read, "Bush protects the rights of perverts but ONLY perverts." He stands behind Hastert and his decision to hide the Foley scandal as long as possible. I am sure he stands behind Hastert's decision to TRY and I stress TRY to blame the Democrats for the release. And, though its off subject, I am SERIOUSLY tired of these damn Republican Talking Points. Why don't you put the damn paper down and make a REAL point instead of reading off of the list hoping that, simply be repeating information, it will come true. I bet the Republican think tank sounds just like this:

Let's blame pedophilia on Alcohol, quick, everyone repeat it so it might come true...wait, not working? ok, let's blame it on Sexual Abuse as a child, no? Democrats? No? Hastert? Yes, wait, let's change that, uhhh, uhhh, let's change the subject, yeah...quick, everyone talk about North Korea and blame THAT on the Democrats...damnit, that isnt working either...ok, let's try to just focus on North Korea and their nuclear test, yeah, that might work..keep talking about it and DONT mention DeLay, Foley, Hastert or any of the rest of us caught in a scandal. Yeah, I know we won't get to mention hardly anyone but try your best. Damn, we keep getting in trouble with Foley..ok, change the subject to the Torture Bill. That will work for a while but what next? I don't know but we'll figure something out. OK, email everyone the talking points so they don't have to think for themselves and lets get out of here. A days job well done!

That is just insane and sad...

Then there is the story of the young girl who posted a "would be" threat to Bush on her myspace site and got "questioned" by Secret Service. Was she wrong to do what she did? YES, it is wrong to threaten violence on ANYONE, especially public figures. Should the SS (pun intended) have known her threat wasn't real enough without ever talking to her? Yes but even if they did question her, should they have done it away from her mother? NO. BOTH parties are at fault here. I know the SS was just being vigilant and I would probably report a threat against Bush even if I hate him. Unlike Republicans, I do NOT wish violence on those I hate. That is the difference between Republicans and Democrats. Republicans believe in violence, unjust wars, torture, removal of rights, sexual abuse of Pages, etc... Democrats have one downfall, our best President had a BJ in the oval office. Big Fuc**ng deal. Should he have done that? No. She he have been impeached for it? HELL No. Should THIS President be impeached? HELL Yes. Should any violent acts befall anyone? NO.

The day we accept torture, today, will truly be a stain on America's history. But, since the last six years have just been a constant leaky spout of stains, it will be no different then the day we went to war with Iraq, the day the Republican Congress introduced anti-gay legislation, or the day the Republicans stole the election in 2000. They are ALL stains on Democracy and WILL be cleaned up this November by the truly ethical...Democrats. It may take a while to clear up this mess the Republicans have gotten us into, but you can be damn sure we care about the nation enough to do it instead of getting us into more trouble.

Just a note of interest. In 2000, BEFORE Bushy took office, our nation did not have a DEFICIT...we had a SURPLUS. The YEAR he takes office, 2001, our Surplus becomes a deficit and it just has continued to grow since then. Just an interesting note. And, for those of you dumb enough to believe the rhetoric, "Democrats will raise your taxes!", they will NOT, unless you are the top 1% of the country in income level, your taxes will NOT be raised. Are you the top 1%? No? Then Shut the F**k Up.

Republicans Doing Their Best to F*** Us Up...

As you can see, with the polls as horrible for Republicans as they have been, and the outlook in November looking good for the country and the Democrats, the Republicans MUST do something to try and sway the voters...So what do they do?

They want N. Korea to go to war with us. Not only does it re-focus the subject on N. Korea and NOT the sick bastard that hid Mark Foley, Hastert, but it also gets our security up in the spotlight again where they can continue their bullshitting about how Democrats are not up to protecting American. I got news for you Republicans, the Democrats will take better care of this country then you ever can. I don't remember 9/11 happening in 1999 or 2000...nope, it happened in 2001, the year YOU, Bush, sat on your ass and ignored all the warnings from the people who are supposed to warn you. You obviously don't remember, "Bin Laden determinted to attack inside the US" hmmm, oh well, I guess some people just enter dementia earlier in their lives then others.

As for Foley, Republicans are trying to say, and I quote, "It's interesting the timing of the release of the story..." etc... Well, John Stewart showed a CNN news anchor ask the most obvious question to the Republican congressman who said that, "What proof do you have that Democrats are behind the leak?" and of course he stuttered for ten seconds before finally answering that OH so brilliant answer, "uhh, what proof do you have they aren't?" John Stewart said it best when he responded on his show that we all know that people are not guilty until the rest of the world is proven innocent. That Republican congressman just got bitchslapped and deserved it too.

McCain decided he would try and blame N. Korea on the Clinton administration. That blew up in his face as everyone knew and knows that N. Korea had no real ambitions in 2000 but shortly after Bush took office and focused all his attention on Iraq (saying something along the lines, "How are we going to get Saddam" long before 9/11), N. Korea said well shit, we hate Bush, let's make sure we are protected, he's too busy over there. Even AFTER the nuclear test we send the Eisenhower Carrier where? Korean Bay? Yellow Sea? NO, Iran! Why? They are next on Bush's hit list. He needs to get us into another war we can't win before the elections so security will stay an issue. Well go ahead because the country and the new Democratic congress may remove you themselves if you do take us to war with Iran.

Republicans attempt subject change....again...

Is this ALL the Republicans can do? Change the subject or blame someone else. I wish my life was so easy as to blame all my problems on someone else.

Mark Foley Scandal:

Step 1: Blame Alcohol.
Step 2: Blame Priest.
Step 3: Blame Pages.
Step 4: Blame Democrats.
Step 5: Change Subject.

Sometimes they don't even wait until something stops working to try another. Suddenly all the news has shifted focus to N. Korea. Is N. Korea a threat? Will they launch an attack against us? I predict it will be only days until RepublicanNews, errr, FoxNews, will start saying, "Can Democrats protect us from N. Korea?" and of course they can but Fox News would never report unbiased news so don't expect the right answer from there...only the RIGHT answer. All the news has shifted focus and for that I say, "Shame on you NBC, ABC, CBS, etc...." Yes, N. Korea is a serious issue (as Democrats have been telling Republicans since they invaded Iraq), but so is this sick bastard Republican and the sick bastards that covered for him like Hastert.

I say, it is time to change the subject to how horrible this country is being run. Our president is a joke, his cronies in Congress are passing his illegalities into law and making sure their asses are covered when Democrats take over so they don't get in trouble for their illegal shit. It's time to kick their asses out of office. Polls show most Americans agree with me and it's about damn time. Don't let the Republican Machine manipulate you and your votes otherwise. You NOW know the truth, don't let them lie to you some more...

Republicans continue to support pervert...

A Republican Congressman from Florida has been molesting young boys online. Hmmm...ok, can we, America, get mad yet?? I've been angry for some time about all the lying. They lie about why we go to war, they lie about the progress, they lie about EVERYTHING and it takes a sex scandal to get America up in arms! And what's worse, according to a recent poll, 25% of so called Americans STILL fully and wholely support the Republican party and all its sick lying bastards.

Despite all this, Speaker Dennis Hastert has known for at least a year and probably much more and AFTER saying he should have done something much sooner, he refuses to step down and take responsibility for it..why? Because for Republicans, it's ALL about retaining power at the expense of America's children, America's soldiers, America's independence, America's reputation and America's freedoms!

Bush, aka Chimpy, has called Hastert and "Thanked" him for his handling of the matter. Here is how the phone call most likely went:

Bush: Denny, hey, it's me, Goergie.
Hastert: Hey Georgie, yeah, I fu**ed up with this. Keeping power was too important that I couldn't let it get out.
Bush: Yeah, no, it's cool. We want power, it doesn't matter who gets fu**ed over, even if its kids, I'll back you.
Hastert: No, it's ok, people don't like you, I think I'd do better without ya.
Bush: No, I gotta stand behind you or the others will lynch you like we used to do in Texas to those..whooops, better not talk about that.
Hastert: OK, so I won't step down, you're right, keeping power is too important then handling this the correct way.
Bush: Good, we are on the same page, we keep power, kids get hurt. OK, Bye.
Hastert: Bye George.

It was probably alot more demeaning to the kids but you get the picture. This is just SICK that people are STILL standing behind Republicans, especially the ones who knew about all this for so long and did nothing about it.

If you are a republican and are going to vote republican no matter what they do, it's too bad because your children will grow up without any morals, ethics or decent lifestyles.

Bush still tried to change the subject back to his baseless unjust war and American said "NO", we are going to talk about what matters more, our children.

Bush, this sentence is for you: CONDEMN these perverts in your party who protected this guy including Hastert as it is the ONLY way for you to return to the so called moral and value party you claim to be part of. Are you going to take my advice? No, because you don't give a shit about honor, the truth, morals, ethics and the American way. You care about the worth of oil in your pocket and that is IT.

Till next time,

The Angry Democrat

Republicans pass torture law...

Let's start with some quotes from the article.

""Is it perfect? No," said Rep. Mario Diaz-Balart (news, bio, voting record), R-Fla. "Do we have an obligation to pass it? Yes.""

Is it perfect? No, should you pass it? NO. If you pass imperfect legislation, it only leads to imperfect implementing of that legislation.

"The measure also provides extensive definitions of war crimes such as torture, rape and biological experiments — but gives Bush broad authority to decide which other techniques U.S. interrogators can legally use."

Bush has clearly shown he can not be trusted, especially with a decision to decide what is torture and what is not.

Republicans have been using this ploy to "paint democrats soft on terror." And some Christian rejects such as Hastert have said "...Democrats opposing the measure "voted today in favor of MORE rights for terrorists.""

Actually, Democrats just believe in a little something called Human Rights. The Bush administration has been CAUGHT not only torturing innocent people, but torturing them for years without them ever being able to call for an attorney or even let anyone know where they were. The most recent case in Canada is simply that, only the most recent case.

For Republicans to state that Democrats are soft on terror is just insulting and immoral to say the least. It shows they have no substance in their argument and can only resort to attacks on the other guy (as we all know is their M.O.) What's worse is they think the American people are stupid enough to believe it. Yes, some believe it and I can guarantee a couple will post in response to this but if you look at every piece of legislation passed by the Republican Congress and voted against by Democrats, it will, at its core, have a Human Rights issue.

The Republicans in Congress just spit in the face of the Geneva Convention and our soldiers will pay for it if not now, in the future war Bush drags us in to. What's next, Iran or Pakistan?

He can barely be trusted to tie his own shoes and yet they are letting him decide what is and what isn't torture. He is going to simply decide that anything is not torture and can be used and as our country slowly descends into the pits of hell, we will be led by George W. Bush, the worst president this country has ever and hopefully will ever see.

Bush Administration Wants Soldiers To Be Able To Rape...

The article attached (Click above somewhere), though posted on a biased blog (Biased towards Democrats...Yes, I can admit when that happens unlike some political affiliations...) has comments by legal scholars who are not biased. It clearly states that the law is meant to make immune from prosecution soldiers who have previously done unethical tortures as well as make immune soldiers who will do unethical torture. Let me rephrase this once again. The Republican Congress has made a law making it legal for soldiers interrogating prisoners to do extremely unethical immoral atrocious things, in fact, everything EXCEPT rape, to the prisoners and immune them from prosecution. This sounds an awful lot like what the soldiers of Saddam Hussein were allowed to do legally.

The Republicans had a mock fight with the White House this last week in an attempt to make themselves seem further from Bush and his low poll numbers even though in essence, it is the same law he proposed. Whats even more infuriating is that the Republicans seem to forget that there are any other law makers in Congress. They have special meetings between Republicans and the White House to discuss the laws and mediate a center between supposed disagreements without even a care to what half of the country and their representatives think.

Republicans seem to feel that their number one priority is NOT the welfare of the country, but the welfare of their money and their job in office. Their number one election rule is: "If you can't say something nice about yourself, attack the opponent!" They are now already attacking Minority Leader, hopefully soon to be Majority Leader, Nancy Pelosi on empty attacks. They have even degraded to the simple yet appealing to Republican attack, "Do you really want a woman third in line for the Presidency?" This is pathetic. Below is the list of the top 20 most corrupt officials in Congress. Of the top 20, three are Democrats and 17 are Republicans. What is most surprising is that for some reason, half the country still thinks that Republicans are better to have in office! The list is courtesy of http://www.beyonddelay.org. This is generally a non-partisan site whose sole goal is to oust corrupt officials which SHOULD be the goal of ALL Americans.

I beg you, Americans, oust the corrupt officials and quit voting strictly along party lines and maybe, for once, do the honorable thing and vote for who will best do the job!

Next on my subject list is this game the Republicans are playing with the American people's heart. Bush used his 9/11 memorium speech to push a connection between 9/11 and Iraw even though there was none as admitted with proof to back it up. He promised the people of America he would not politicize the speech and the first thing he did was politicize the speech. It was so sad to see this so-called Born-Again Christian use such a sad event to push his Non-Christian agenda. Then the Republicans faked this faux fight with the president THIS week to take the media's attention off of what happened and it worked.

Finally, the game Republicans play in regards to the facts are getting out of hand. They have this bill regarding allowing torture. Torture is clearly an ANTI-Christian belief. Democrats will NEVER stand for torture, so when they vote against this bill, Republicans will say, "Look, Democrats are "Soft on Terror", another one of their talking points, and some people will actually believe them. It's a bunch of BS and they all know it. Intellegent people know it too but there are others who believe it. Democrats are probably stronger on Terror then Republicans, the only difference is that Republicans will sell our safety to the highest bidder (Our ports being an example) while Democrats will keep us alot safer here at home.

Remember, in November, vote the truth, freedom, and the American Way. Vote Democrat.

Immigration...debate?

This particular congressman is no different then the president. He doesn't hear what he wants to hear, hears that his information is wrong, so instead of fixing his ideas, he just complains about the person disagreeing with him. He actually threatened to tell the witness's boss. That's just pathetic. With Bush, he finds out that everyone believes his spying on domestic households is wrong, so instead of changing that, he goes after whoever leaked it to the media and 'told on him'. Well, on the bright side we only have two more years of this hell if we aren't destroyed by then, though I sometimes worry that he may make some soldiers protect his removal from the White House and become a full pledged dictator once his time is up and a new president gets voted in.

Ann Coulter...

This is going to be a simple and quick blog. This woman calls herself a representative of the Republican Christian Right and acts like the antithesis of a Christian. The republicans on the right refuse to rebuke her for fear of being on the receiving end of her extremely disrespectful attacks. I would compare this to the Muslim clerics who refuse to rebuke terrorist attacks when it is their job as representatives of their people to show that these spewers of vile do NOT represent them. Anyways, back to the point, there is absolutely no way, as a student of religion, that this so called human being can call herself a Christian and then spread this hatred around like it's the truth.

She talks about how the first amendment should be taken away from some people. I think that subconciously she is begging for her own first amendment rights to be taken away.

Budget Cuts in Congress

I have read this repeatedly and have asked it myself so I now ask you, the reader, a single question...

How can you justify cutting billions from colleges, medical plans, etc... from the impoverished, and then propose a bill to add even more to the deficit buy proposing tax cuts for the wealthy?

The Rich get Richer and the Poor get poorer, and thus, the republican party stays in office.

SOTU Address

I opted not to watch last night's State of the Union address as I would most likely just sit there amazed at how much lying is going on. I watched the Democrat response and would like to say as a democrat that I endorse that response (as if I was asked) and I believe that Kaine did a beautiful job with it. I do hope now that the democrats have the ball, that they run with it. The excerpts I did see of the SOTU address did amaze me as nothing was said and it took an hour to say it.
